Benjamin Franklin is on the 100, and he was not a president. There have also been many in the past that were not even people. Such as the Buffalo Nickel, or the Eagle half dollar.

Until 1909, the face on the money was Lady Liberty. They decided to change to real people. The Liberty Bell and Bald Eagle have been on coins.

All of the US silver coins of 1897 had various portraits of Liberty and a bald eagle on the reverse. The coin is of the same value as the currently circulating coins of the same size, except the dollar is the size of Eisenhower dollar. The coin is worth about 15 times face value, more if it’s in really good condition.

i think what you have to do is give it to the bank and they will tell how much it is worth but im not sure.

In all probability you don’t have an erroneously “printed” or minted coin. In those days, the “v” was used as another way of writing “u,” when they wanted to show venerability or age.

Originally the v was used interchangeably with u, back in Roman Empire days. Actually, that’s why he “double U” looks like like two Vs together — VV (that’s two Vs printed next to each other).

Sorry to burst your balloon. That said a 1922 golden dollar coin is probably worth some money, anyway.
