Look it up on ebay, It will probably tell you a little about it and how much its worth.

Does it look like this (see link below)?

Is it a nickel, a silver dollar, or a gold coin??? That will make quite a difference in the value.

Question by Alex: How can I tell what my coin is worth over the internet?
I have a one dollar coin from 1890 with a picture of a queen on the heads side with a crown that says "Liberty" on it, and a bald eagle with arrows and what i am assuming as an olive branch in its claws on the tails side. If you know the coin or its worth, or a free website that can determine it's worth, it'd help. Thanks.

Question by Avneet Kaur: can someone help me translate this into french?
Among thrill-seekers and adventurous minds, West Edmonton Mall is famous for its NINE WORLD-CLASS ATTRACTIONS. Whether you’re into waterslides, roller coasters, ice skating, bowling, billiards, mini-golf or marine life, something is bound to satisfy your appetite for excitement!

This big park is located on the border of Vancouver and Burnaby. It has a lot of tall trees and trails to walk or bike. There's a pitch and putt golf course that I want to try soon, but Dad says I'm still too young to play golf on this course. The neatest thing is the pond in the park which has real live turtles in it, and gold fish, too.

We've been to Shannon Falls a couple times, usually as a stop on the way to Whistler. It's not really Highway (Highway 99). The 1100 foot falls is the 3rd highest in the province. This is a great place to have a picnic also. You can also combine the Falls with other attractions in the area like the BC Museum of Mining - Britannia Beach, West Coast Railway Heritage Park - Squamish, or Viewing Bald Eagles - Brackendale.

An impressive display of cascading water. It's also pretty in mid-winter when it freezes over, and people try to climb it, although I would recommend you don't do that unless you know how.that far from Vancouver and it makes for a nice Sunday drive on the Sea-to-Sky

Question by Mr. So Krates: Which is a better coin for collecting?
Which would you rather have? This is a gift for my mother who loves coin collecting.

A 2008 bald eagle silver dollar proof: Only ~, but only 500,000 are to be produced

A 2008 American buffalo proof coin: ~0 but no statement of limiting the production

Both are official U.S. coins from the U.S. mint.

The 2008 bald eagle coin is a commemorative coin while the 2008 American Buffalo coin is a gold bullion coin and for 0 it must be the 1/10 of an ounce. You may find that the gold buffalo will have the lowest mintage. Looking at the American gold eagle proof issues of 1/10 oz. only 17,546 2005 proofs were made and 15,636 2004 proofs were made. The most proofs made from what books I have is 143,681 from the first year 1988. Not all mintage figures for 2006-2007 have been released yet. I am a numismatist and collect the old historic coins, so would have to take the Bald Eagle for it's historic value but the gold coin would be the best investment.

Question by Max: Would anyone know where this coin can be purchased or what it is?
I found a large gold coin with a the words "Florida Flamingo" (2 standing flamingoes on it) on one side and "National Wildlife Outdoor Series A" with a bald eagle on the other side. Would anyone know where to get more info about these? My kids think this coin is a 'lucky charm' ...LOL

It is a medal not a coin. It is gold colored and not real gold. This type item goes back to the 1960's when private mints and companies tried to get on the coin band wagon. Coin collecting was real hot then and even through the 1990's they tried to sell their wears. However the federal trade commission finally caught up to them and they had to watch how they sold them and could not call them coins. Unless the name of the company is on them you may never find out who made it. Values range from each in aluminum to a few dollars in brass or copper and for the dollar size silver ones. Hope this helps. Maybe it is a lucky charm for you or the kids.

I personally would want the Gold Buffalo simply because I have numerous Silver Eagles already... BUT if your mother is a small time collector or beginner, she will be more than happy with the Silver Eagle .

Why not get her the Silver Eagle now and start saving for the Gold Buffalo for a gift NEXT year ! It's a win win situation for both of you. If you are financially stable and money is NOT the object then get one now and the next for her at the next gift giving holiday of your choice.

Either way she will love what you give her... I know I enjoy ANYTHING my son gives me, even if it is a coin I already have. I gladly accept duplicates of any part of my collection. : )

Be sure to include a hug !!
